Fish and Shrimp Festival

September 19th, 2009

We just got back from the fish and shrimp festival (I had shrimp for lunch, and it was tasty J)! Our cousin Lauren came with us because she LOVES shrimp!  There was a petting zoo-like area, and we got to hold turtles and frogs!  We also touched a sturgeon – they’re kinda slimy!  Lauren loved it and so did we!   It’s a really nice festival if you’ve never been there and you like seafood!  There was a cow that gave out candy, so Lauren loved that too!  Lol!  Now we’re headed to IBMA – see you in TN!

Hi everybody!  We got their early and there were competitions in every instrument, and dancing too!  :)  John took 2nd in the guitar competition!  We just competed in the band competition in Loudenville, TN!   Our set was short but spectacular :) and super fun for us!  The crowd was awesome and we had a great time!  We met the Davidson Brothers, an Austrailian band, and they were great!  If you haven’t seen them you should definitely check them out!  We’ll see you in October for the Blue Plate Special in Knoxville, TN!

Attention! Show Canceled!

August 28th, 2009

Our show in Nashville, Ohio has been cancelled.  :(  We apologize for the short notice.  Check out our schedule and we hope to see you all at a later date!

Dixon’s

August 2nd, 2009

We had a great time at Dixon’s, like we always do!  It was good to see Wayne, Wilma, Dave, Pete, and the Dixon’s again :)  Alaina was very excited to see so many new people, and so were we!  The weather was great!  We really loved playing there :)

The Country Stage

July 18th, 2009

We are on our way to our beach vacation!  Woo hoo!  Mom and Dad are hoping to find a hotel along the way but John, Gary, and I are hoping to drive all night long!  Nova was fantastic!  We had these pork tenderloin sandwiches that were great!  We spent most of the time when we weren’t on stage jamming and working up new songs :)  It was a really fun, and a great way to start out our vacation!

Wheeling Jamboree

July 12th, 2009

The theater the jamboree was held in was really great!  The food was great!  We had pizza from a local place down the street that was amazing and popcorn from the theater to go with it :) The jamboree itself was a lot of fun!  We really enjoyed ourselves and we hope that everyone listening both on the air and in the theater enjoyed themselves as much as we did.

Red, White, and Bluegrass

July 2nd, 2009

Today’s dad’s birthday, but we still won’t tell you how old he is :)  Yesterday we played in North Carolina.  We brought our dog and our cousin James with us.  It was his first bluegrass festival.  The picnic table area we played at was very nice!  The shelters had just been built and we stayed in the shade all afternoon! The people were very friendly, and we had a wonderful time!

Goin’ Back to Harlan

June 27th, 2009

We alway love this festival because we get to see so many of our family members!  The taco salad was delicious!  My goodness, was it hot, though!  And it rained for a little while, and got even hotter!  But the seating is all covered, and we brought fans so we were good to go!  We had a great time picking for everybody!

Summersville

June 25th, 2009

Wow! What a festival!  We really appreciate Norman Adams inviting us.  The park was great, the sound was wonderful!  We had a great time!  It was good to see Pete and Ida again and to meet so many new people!  The lemonade was amazing :)  We had a great time and we hope that everybody who went to enjoy the music did too :)

Wow! What a lovely festival!  Last time we played here we had to play inside because of the weather, but yesterday the weather was stunning!  We played back in the park on a stage they had set up.  It was warm and sunny :)  We were happy to see Vi again, and we really enjoyed playing for everybody.
